EmpowerMe Talks

Perfectly Claire is M/WBE and WOSB Certified by NYS. I give back to my community by spending time with teens and children. As far back as 1998, I did Career Day visits at NY public schools in the Bronx where my mom taught. I speak to teens at schools and organizations about self empowerment, creativity and entrepreneurship. I especially prioritize supporting girls with attachment, boundaries, sexual health, and processing issues to gain clarity.

I have developed a 16 Week EmpowerMe program to provide underserved girls with vital lessons and resources which I am presenting to organizations and city agencies. It covers everything from attachment styles to self defense. Career Dress Seminars

In collaboration with the Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation’s Economic Solutions Center and Kingsley Duah, Owner of Privélege, we presented a seminar called Basic to Boss: How to Dress the Part and Win for young professionals and those seeking tips to enhance their image. We raffled 2 large Marc Jacobs perfume gift boxes and one Privélege custom suit won by a college student.

Pageant Coaching

2019 Miss NY Continental Cultural Pageant by the Caribbean American Cultural Group. Each contestant represented a Caribbean country. I coached the girls’ walks, stage presence, public speaking, head and eye movement, on how to move in their various looks, and what attire and accessories to choose for most flattering appearance on stage.

Perfectly Claire Winter Coat Drive

I asked friends and family for gently used outerwear, picked up the donations from around the city, and donated them to the Urban Strategies Fannie Barnes Residence in Brownsville, Brooklyn.

Women’s History Month Art Show and Fundraiser

Good people, good hearts, and beautiful art! Perfectly Claire Personal Image was a proud sponsor and volunteer coordinator for this event alongside Fillmore Real Estate Bed-Stuy for a month long art show. We raised money for Brownstoners of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Inc., a civic organization in Brooklyn, NY focused on education, economic development, housing and community activism. Also in celebration of Women’s History Month, Fillmore Real Estate Bed-Stuy transformed its office into an art gallery for the first time since its opening. Each artist was asked to select one work that best represents women. Nine of the pieces sold with two weeks to go until the show's closing, with a third of the proceeds going to Brownstoners. The opening reception was a beautiful event. Great people gathered for a good cause, with delicious food and wine provided by Peaches Kitchen & Bar and Bed-Vyne Wine & Spirits. APPLOI New Year Best You Success Fair. Apploi was crafted as an evolutionary experience for companies and hiring managers. The app helps people find and apply to jobs in the retail, hospitality, service, and support industries virtually. I was so thrilled to conduct workshops on career dress throughout the day within this super informative free day fair at Brooklyn Borough Hall for people looking to self improve. It included pre-interview relaxation techniques, resume review & interview tips from industry professionals, financial planning & budgeting, and my professional styling tips.
